Then....you cannot miss this opportunity!!!
ESN in collaboration with CUFC (Centro Universitário de Fé Católica) offers you the opportunity to spend Christmas with a Portuguese family.
Billions of people celebrate this religious festivity around the world in different ways. It is a time of joy and solidarity. Are you not curious to know how Christmas is celebrated among Portuguese people? In Portugal, families gather to celebrate the “Consoada” on December 24th and the Christmas day on December 25th. On these days Portuguese families usually eat boiled codfish (or boiled octopus) and potatoes with cabbage and other vegetables. For dessert, they eat "filhoses", "rabanadas”, “bolo rei”, “broinhas” among other traditional Christmas treats.
Some Portuguese families are willing to share the Christmas spirit with those students who can’t go home.
Unfortunately, for now we can only offer this opportunity to 17 students. If you are interested e-mail joana.almeida@esnaveiro.org and specify: your name, nationality and languages spoken.
One important detail: you have to pair up with one student, because each family will host 2 students. The criteria will be based on a first-come basis. So, Hurry UP!!
This event is part of a wider European project which aims at giving exchange students the opportunity to know the host culture better, encompassing multicultural information meetings, as well as ecological events and charity actions. "Christmas with Portuguese families" is an idea of the Department of Culture of the ESN team Aveiro and aims at promoting the Christmas spirit and giving exchange students the opportunity to know Portuguese Christmas traditions by spending Christmas with a Portuguese family.

The ESN team wishes you a Merry Xmas!!
A Equipa ESN deseja-te um feliz Natal!!
